The Indian Institute of Heritage (IIH), a Deemed to be University under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has published a vacancy notice for the post of Research Assistant in the Department of Palaeography, Epigraphy & Numismatics.
Job Overview and Compensation
The IIH is looking for one eligible candidate for this position. This engagement is purely casual/contractual for a period of one year.
The Research Assistant will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 38,000/- per month. Students should be aware that this is a contractual role and the person selected will under no circumstances be considered an Institute employee or able to claim future regularization.
Essential Qualifications for Heritage Researchers
Candidates must meet stringent educational criteria to be eligible for this research position:
Educational Requirement: A Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks is essential. This degree must be in Palaeography, Epigraphy & Numismatics, History, Archaeology, or History of Art, using Hindi or English as the medium of examination.
Technical Skills: Applicants must possess good working knowledge of various digital tools, including MS Office, Photoshop, Canva, or Google Office.
Desirable Knowledge: Good knowledge of Indian Scripts and language is listed as a desirable qualification.
Age Limit: The applicant's age must not exceed 35 years as of the last date of the advertisement's issue.
