The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is hiring 02 Subject/Domain Editors for its Publication Section in New Delhi. This contractual engagement is for an initial period of 12 months, with a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹45,000.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible for the scholarly and technical editing of manuscripts, excavation reports, and journals such as Ancient India. Tasks include checking stratigraphic descriptions, verifying facts, and ensuring language consistency and readability.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: A Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology and/or a Ph.D. (completed or currently pursuing).

  • Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant work experience.

  • Age: Not above 35 years as of the application deadline.

  • Skills: Excellent command of English and Hindi, proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with design/mapping software like AutoCAD, GIS, and Adobe Photoshop.
