About the Organization and Role

Located in New Delhi, the role offers remuneration based on qualifications and experience, ranging from INR 3.6 to 6 LPA. The role commencement is Immediate. The Indian Culture Portal is described as a comprehensive digital platform dedicated to showcasing and preserving India's rich cultural heritage. The Portal aggregates content related to Indian culture from cultural institutions, archives, museums, and libraries across India, making it accessible to a global audience.


The organization seeks a proactive and self-motivated individual possessing strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational abilities. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, efficient in record-keeping, and capable of taking initiative. A proven record of working both independently and collaboratively is necessary.


Key Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant will be responsible for internal and external communication for the Indian Culture Portal. Key duties include putting in place a robust framework for Communications and Outreach and engaging effectively with various stakeholders as part of the overall outreach strategy.

The individual will be expected to reinforce communication flow, exchange information, and plan interactions with various stakeholders. They will also develop positive relationships with members of academic and non-academic partner institutions, as well as Ministry of Culture organizations.


Qualifications & Experience


Essential requirements include:

  • A Master’s degree (or higher) in Social Sciences, Humanities, or related fields, coupled with a demonstrated interest or experience in Indian heritage and culture.

  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 Suite and Google Workspace.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English.

  • The ability to network with individuals and institutions across the country.

  • A minimum of 2 years (full-time) experience in communications, outreach, record-keeping, knowledge management, and other related administrative roles.


Desirable qualifications include:

  • A knowledge of Indian languages in addition to English.

  • Prior experience in Communications and Outreach positions, especially at museums, archives, cultural institutions, or digital heritage projects.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to authenticity.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  2. A cover letter of 300 words outlining their suitability for the role.

  3. One sample of research-based writing.
