Organized by Inarch Centre | Date: May 10, 2026 | Departure from Delhi
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk through the remnants of a civilization that thrived around five millennia ago?
Step out of the history textbooks and onto the actual grounds of ancient history with the Inarch Centre. We invite history enthusiasts, students, researchers, and curious explorers to join our comprehensive Rakhigarhi Heritage Walk, a professionally guided tour of the world's largest known Harappan site.
Why Visit Rakhigarhi?

Located in the Ghaggar-Hakra basin in Haryana’s Hisar district, Rakhigarhi is an archaeological marvel spread across nearly 350 hectares. Recognized by the Union government in 2020 as one of India's five iconic archaeological sites, it once served as a thriving hub of Harappan urban planning, craftsmanship, and culture. First identified in the 1960s, Rakhigarhi has undergone multiple excavation phases under Dr. Amarendra Nath (ASI) (1997–2000), Dr. Vasant Shinde (DECCAN COLLEGE) (2012–2016), and Dr. Sanjay Kumar Manjul (ASI) (2021-2025). Currently, ASI is excavating the site, which commenced in January 2026, to study and understand the site's town planning.
During our heritage walk, you will get an exclusive opportunity to explore:
7 Major Mounds: Traverse the ancient residential structures, public architecture, and craft activity areas of Mounds 1 and 3, as well as the Harappan burial grounds at Mound 7.
Ancient Urban Infrastructure: Witness the evidence of well-planned streets, drainage systems, wells, and reservoirs dating back thousands of years.
Artifacts and Antiquities: Observe original excavation trenches and artifact sites featuring Hakra ware pottery, tools, jewelry, and human remains spanning the Early, Mature, and Late Harappan phases.
Learn from an Industry Expert

The walk is expertly led by Dr. Skand Manjul, an archaeologist and dental scholar who brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the study of the past. He holds an M.A. in History along with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.). Trained in both dentistry and history, he specializes in South Asian archaeology, bio-archaeology, ancient DNA studies, and historical metallurgy. His research primarily focuses on the Harappan civilization and the Copper Hoard culture, where he has studied ancient burials and early technologies.
