Dharoharshastri Internship Programme 2026 | Department of Archives, Haryana

The Department of Archives, Haryana, which is responsible for preserving the administrative, historical, and cultural documentary heritage of the state, has announced the Dharoharshastri Internship Programme for 2026. This initiative is designed to strengthen academic engagement and provide students and heritage enthusiasts with practical exposure to archival work, conservation, and documentation processes.


Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the program focuses on experiential learning and skill development within the cultural heritage sector.


Who Can Apply?


The department is looking for candidates from various academic backgrounds and levels of expertise: Internship Duration - 1 Month

Eligible Disciplines

Eligibility Criteria

History

Diploma holders, UG (2nd year onwards), PG students, Research Scholars

Archival Science

Heritage Enthusiasts with demonstrable interest in history, archives, or culture (Min. Graduate)

Library & Information Science

Foreign Nationals meeting academic criteria and documentation requirements

Other related Social Sciences and Humanities

Candidates from recognized institutions or relevant professional backgrounds

Programme Highlights


This one-month internship offers a unique chance to dive deep into the world of archives. Participants will:

  • Work closely with Haryana’s archival collections and heritage records.

  • Gain exposure to conservation, documentation, and archival digitization practices.

  • Enhance their research aptitude and professional skills.

  • A Statement of Purpose (SOP).
