Research Assistants
IIT Bombay is executing the National Virtual Library of India (NVLI) project on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. In collaboration with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), the NVLI team is working on the Digital District Repository (DDR) to highlight local stories linked to the Indian Freedom Struggle.
NVLI in collaboration with the DDR project is looking for Research Assistants who can write and manage content for the project.
Job Profile: Research Assistant
The primary role of the RA will include researching and writing stories related to the freedom struggle. The RA will also have to review and manage content produced by a team of freelancers working on this project on an ongoing basis. The RA will also be expected to travel if required.
Fluency in the English language is a prerequisite for this position. An ability to read and write Hindi will be an asset. Candidates who have prior experience of writing content in the areas of History, Heritage and Culture will be preferred.
Job Requirements:
The candidate must have a keen interest in reading and writing about Indian history, heritage and culture. An above-average knowledge of Indian history and India’s struggle for independence is a must.
Personal traits required are the ability to work hard and do deep research. It is necessary to have excellent communication and presentation skills (including both creating presentations as well as presenting when required). Candidates are expected to have an active and agile mind, and enthusiasm to read widely and learn.
Eligibility:
At least a Postgraduate degree in History, English Literature, Heritage Management or related fields.
Remuneration:
Will depend on qualifications and experience and will range from INR 2.5 to 5 LPA
Job Location: This is a full-time role based at New Delhi
