Rishihood University, Delhi PhD Admissions 2026: Heritage & Cultural Studies

Rishihood University, Sonipat (Delhi NCR)  invites applications for its doctoral programme in Heritage and Cultural Studies under the Rashtram School of Public Leadership (RSPL). This research area is supervised by Dr. Pratishtha Mukherjee, Assistant Professor, RSPL.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold one of the following:

1. A Master’s degree (1-year or 2-year) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Grade B on the UGC 10-point scale

2. A 4-year undergraduate degree with Research, with a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10

3. An M.Phil. degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.0/10

Candidates holding valid UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, or CEED fellowships are exempt from the university entrance examination. However, all candidates must appear for a personal interview before the Admission Committee.

Relaxations apply as per UGC norms.

Programme Structure

1. Duration: Minimum 3 years (including coursework) | Maximum 6 years

2. Coursework: Completed in the first two semesters, comprising core mandatory courses and department-specific electives. Minimum 12 credits required.

3. Following coursework, scholars develop a Research Proposal (Synopsis) presented before the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) for approval.

4. The programme concludes with pre-thesis submission, final thesis submission, and a viva-voce examination before an expert panel.
