The One-Year Post Graduate Diploma in Museology is organized at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) in Bhopal and is affiliated with the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) in Amarkantak, which is a Central University.
Furthermore, the course is monitored and run in consultation with the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) and the Board of Studies (BoS) of the Department of Museology at IGNTU, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IGRMS and IGNTU.
Intake of students
The total intake of students for the PG Diploma in Museology is initially set at 20 seats. The reservation for these seats follows the norms and policies of the Government of India and Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU).
Eligibility criteria for the program
To be eligible for the Post Graduate Diploma in Museology, candidates must have completed their graduation in any stream from a UGC-recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list).
Candidates must also meet the following minimum mark requirements:
50% aggregate for General and OBC categories.
45% aggregate for SC, ST, and EWS categories.
For the selection process, eligible candidates must take an entrance test, which is conducted in a hybrid mode, and selection is based on merit . A personal interaction may also be required . For in-service or sponsored candidates, the selection is conducted solely through an interview .
