Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Wednesday, to enable the sale of ASI monument tickets through DMRC's 'Momentum 2.0 Delhi Sarthi' mobile application. This collaboration aims to provide a single platform for purchasing both ASI monument tickets and DMRC travel tickets, making it a seamless experience for tourists and locals.
Benefits of the Collaboration
Convenient Ticketing: Buy tickets for monuments and metro travel in one place.
Promoting Cultural Heritage: Joint public campaigns, events, and digital platforms to raise awareness about Delhi's history
Easy Access: Integrated QR-based ticketing system for hassle-free entry to monuments and metro services
The MoU was signed in the presence of top officials, including Dr. Vikas Kumar, DMRC's Managing Director, and Anand Madhukar, Additional Director General (Admin) of ASI. This partnership is expected to enhance the travel and tourism experience in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
What's Next?
The DMRC will integrate ASI's ticketing system into its app and provide space for ASI signages and standees featuring historical information about various monuments at designated metro stations. This move will not only promote Delhi's cultural heritage but also make it easily accessible to everyone.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting collaboration!
