Institute of Archaeology, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Ministry of Culture, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Campus, Greater Noida, U.P., invites applications for admission to its prestigious 1-Year Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology (PGDA) for the academic session commencing January 2027.

Course Name: Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology (PGDA).
Duration: 1 Year full-time (Includes theoretical coursework, a 2-month excavation/exploration training camp, field studies, and dissertation).
Total Intake: 15 Seats.
Stipend: Selected non-sponsored candidates receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,000/- along with covered travel expenses for academic study tours.
Hostel Facility: Available on twin-sharing basis inside the 25-acre campus.
Eligibility Criteria & Selection Process
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Ancient Indian History / Culture / Archaeology from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC / ST / OBC / PwD / In-service candidates).
Age Limit: Maximum 25 years as on 31/10/2026 for fresh candidates.
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).
In-service Candidates: No age restriction for sponsored/in-service candidates from , state departments, or recognized educational institutions.
Selection Procedure: Admissions will be based on a Written Test (70 Marks) comprising objective MCQs, short notes, and an essay, followed by a Personal Interview (30 Marks) conducted at the Greater Noida campus.
