OVERVIEW
The Integrated PG department of Archaeology and Material Culture Studies (India’s first Integrated PG programme in Archaeology) was established in 2021 with an aim of recovering the lost tradition of Maharajas College and Cochin. The department offers a unique opportunity to study archaeology from prehistory to present through filed activities and well-organized lectures, and explore human culture and its relationships with social and natural environments. The department has been actively engaged in the protection of the cultural heritage of Cochin through scientific explorations and exhibitions.
