Scheduled for Saturday, 2 May 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (IST), the session will examine Persian epigraphs as authentic and valuable sources for reconstructing the history of Medieval India. It will highlight how these inscriptions help bridge gaps in established historical narratives while offering fresh insights into the period. Additionally, the lecture will trace the evolution of Islamic calligraphy and its introduction into India through diverse epigraphic styles, revealing the artistic and cultural significance of this graphic tradition.
